Q: Am I limited to building one of Arlington Homes floor plans?
A: No, you can select from one of our floor plans, you can modify one of our plans or bring in your own design.

Q: Am I limited to building in only one of Arlington Homes neighborhoods?
A: No, we can find you a lot in another neighborhood or help you find a lot to build your dream house on.

Q: Am I limited to only a few options of flooring and cabinets?
A: No we have many different selections available.  You will be able to work directly with our contractors and visit their showrooms to make selections that will add the perfect finishing touches to your dream home.

Q: Do I have to use a certain lender for financing?
A: No you can use any lender you are comfortable with.

Q: How long does it take to build a new home?
A: It varies from house to house.  Some homes can be completed in 7 to 8 months.  We allow customers to make changes through out the build process without any penalty.  The more changes that are made, the long it can take to complete the home. It is also important to make all selections in a timely manner to ensure there are no delays in the build process.

Q: What is the difference between a custom builder and a production builder?
A: A custom builder can make changes and modifications to homes that a production build can’t (or won’t) do.  A production builder specializes in building the same floor plans in the same way allowing very few changes to be made along the way.  Once the building process has started a production builder will not let you make changes without a penalty.  A custom builder will offer you a unique home that is personalized just for you.
